This was the ticket, I put | /usr/lib/courier/bin/maildrop
in a file ~/Email/.courier-default
Out of curiosity, how did you get it to work with the file in ~/Email/? Courier looks in the user's home directory for dot-courier files. Are you sure the old alias isn't still in the aliases.dat file?
