Hello, i'm new to this list but i use courier-mta since v. 0.43.
Now i got a new server with Fedora Core 3 installed, and i can't
build rpms out of courier-0.48.tar.bz2 because fam (and fam-devel)
was removed from distribution and courier relies on it.
I have successfully build RPMs on Fedora Core 3. I ususally use apt from apt.freshrpms.net to keep my packages up to date. I don't remember if I had to install fam/fam-devel, and I don't currently have access to the new server (it's still in testing, and hidden behind a couple firewalls), but I do know I built RPMs successfully, without building anything from source and without modifying the spec file.
Should I compile the source manually, or it's better
to edit spec file to remove fam dependency?
I didn't do these because of maintenence concerns. ymmv.
