After putting together a few mailboxes, and a few group mail accounts with tuned ACLs I hit a it of a snag. MS Outlook 2003 SP1 (and probably others)
can't see the #shared folders :(

I googled around, but couldn't find anything relevant, nor could I find anything in the READMEs.

From watching the IMAP conversation, Outlook is "getting it wrong" (no surprise there then). It makes no NAMESPACE call, instead relying on LIST "." "*" to find all the folders, and LSUB "." "*" to find the subscribed folders.

Is it possible to configure Outlook to know about the # marked folder, and behave accordingly; or more likely, configure Courier IMAP to use a undifferentiated namespace?

Work-around 1 install a decent mail client

Work-around 2
create a second mail account, but set the server root to "#shared."
Outlook will insist on accessing the inbox in this second account, but it otherwise appears to work.
