Using Courier with getmail/fetchmail, using maildrop at the command line (scripts and/or shell accounts), and using Courier with 3rd party tools such as virus/spam scanners that like to call maildrop directly. Right now, these things are possible, but you need to manually determine $HOME, etc, and give them to maildrop as environment variables.
