Maybe you cannot reach them, but maybe most people can...

There are defintiely circumstances where MXs in the private networks would be necessary - and even the loopback could be correct in certain circumstances.

However, I agree that, where those circumstances do not apply, it would be nice to have an easy way to activate it in one fell swoop.
