Hi all,

I have been trying to get courier to work nice with Mailman for the past week. I even upgraded to Courier 0.48.2 and am Using Mailman 2.1.5.

The problem I'm having is getting the .courier files working properly. I compiled Mailman to use courer for the mail user. I tried making my own | aliases, but any .courier-:xalias/* files never worked. They would never find them.

I later located the courier-to-mailman.py script. I setup a .courer-default script for any not found e-mail, but doesn't seem to be working well either.

I am using Redhat 7.3, but using /usr/lib/courier for CourierMTA, and /usr/local/mailman for mailman. I also setup the /mailman and /pipermail aliases.

As a note, all other mail functions seem to work fine.

Here is the problem. If I make a list, say [EMAIL PROTECTED], It bounces back with user not found:

Reporting-MTA: dns; tdpsoft.net
Arrival-Date: Tue, 15 Feb 2005 23:24:13 -0800
Received-From-MTA: dns; localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1])

Final-Recipient: rfc822; ".xalias/[EMAIL PROTECTED]"@tdpsoft.net
Action: failed
Original-Recipient: rfc822; [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Status: 5.0.0
Diagnostic-Code: unknown; 550 User unknown.

For the life of me I can't figure this out. Can someone point me in the right direction. Maybe a howto or something?

Thanks

--Wes
