Hi,

There are some messages from certain addresses in my mailq that have
been there for about 6 months. I know they should be gone by now, but
they are subscribed to a courier mailing list. I'm not sure why the
address doesn't get unsubscribed.

I will have entries like this in the queue:

3.6K 004E427A.421CB1BA.00001D07 Feb 23 11:39
daemon [EMAIL PROTECTED]
                 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm guessing this means the message bounced 44 times?

No.

                                                       Should couriermlm
get the picture by this time? I'm pretty sure all the .courier files
and what not are setup properly. Also, it is weird because the date of
the queue item will be fairly recent (only a few days ago) but I know
this address has been in there for longer. Perhaps it keeps getting
re-added? Why the 44 times then? Something is not right.

You've assumed that "44" is a count. It's not.

What is that weird string doing there? Is that normal?

Another clue is that I only realized recently (about 1.5 months ago)
that I hadn't added the cron jobs for the lists. I just did that... I
thought that was the problem.. but to no avail.

Since you weren't running cron jobs, no bounces were being processed.

You will have to wait a while before bounce processing catches up to everything.
