I'm having some trouble getting esmtpd-ssl working. When I connect using

openssl s_client -connect localhost:465 -starttls smtp

I get

    CONNECTED(00000003)
    write:errno=32

The log file shows:

Apr 5 23:51:19 dev esmtpd-ssl: couriertls: /etc/courier/esmtpd.pem: error:0200100D:system library:fopen:Permission denied

Seems like a permissions issue--what owner and permissions should esmtpd.pem have? I tried both root and courier users with mode 600.

This file should be owned by the courier users. Unless you've modified the default startup script, esmtpd is started under the courier userid.
