i am ready to move our customers over to out new courier server. yea!! kudos to sam, julian, and randy for great free software.

when i moved a couple test accounts recently, i used an imap copy script which worked fine, except for one drawback.

if the customer uses pop (most do), and stores e-mails on the server, after moving to courier and downloading messages, they had duplicates. their mail client didn't recognize that it had already downloaded the msg.

is there anyway to keep this from happening? is the best bet just to tell customers to change their pop settings so they don't store mail on the server until after the migration?

regards,

mark
