Thanks for the reply. That's almost what I want to do except instead
of configuring a rule to accept mail *for* somedomain.com, I want to
configure a rule to accept mail *from* somedomain.com. Is this possible
do you think ?
The use case is that I want to use Courier as an SMTP proxy and make routing decisions based on originator domain and/or IP address.

In that case, don't bother with esmtpacceptmailfor, just put the line in to smtproutes. Courier always consults smtproutes before any delivery, so any instructions in there override the MX details from DNS. There a few more options you can put in smtproutes, read the courier man page for all of them. Also, if you omit the domain name then Courier will forward all email to the specified host, unless there's another entry in esmtproutes.
