Can someone verify that this is the case? As in: Is this happening in
other people's installation? I did a google search and couldn't find
this particular problem (though there were a few logwatch/courier
related problems but didn't seem to be this specific one.

Are you referring to logwatch or courier mta? I believe the courier
script came with the courier mta installation (did it with the source
./make install, not rpm). The logwatch came installed by default with
CentOS.

Then again I was assuming that logwatch scripts came with the actual
programs that the script pertained to. After reading through the
website you linked (logwatch.org), quotes like:

Added new filters; amavis, clamav-milter, courier, http, postfix,
pound, pureftpd, vsftpd

make me think otherwise. I've never really had to do much logwatch
configuration (probably should would be convenient). Maybe someone
more experienced in that field could input on how to get to the bottom
of this "Unmatched entries" thing.
