I've run into a problem with local mail filtering getting bypassed sporadically. This is with courier 0.50.1.

I'm running my own rcptfilter local filter (instead of maildrop) and it's working well. But about once a day a message comes through that courier simply delivers without calling the rcptfilter. I know this because spam was leaking through that should have been caught by the filter, so I started logging every call to the filter. And this sporadic "leaker" is the one and only time I don't get a log entry from my filter. BTW, the message is always to a local account, always from an external IP and email ID and there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about the envelope.

It appears that this only happens when two esmtpd connections come in together and one message is bounced by courier (RBL, DNS error, bad MX). The one message is bounced and the other message skips passing through the local filter. I looked at the code and I can't see any relationship there, so it may be a coincidence. (Likely -- it's a fairly busy mail server.)

Any thoughts on how I can track this down?
