NO. And nobody ever came close to a solution. I'm still sure it should not happen, but it does. Lucky for me sylpheed too got the option to choose "sendmail" instead of smtp host, but sending mail with mozilla i.e. still does not work. Connection refused ;-) So on outgoing mail I filled in the name of my providers mailer. It only happens on the server.
