I'm on RHEL4 and it's certainly fast, but then at the same time we
upgraded from RHEL3 we put in a new server with Dual Opterons, 6gb RAM and
a RAID10 array of 15k SCSI drives so "fast" isn't exactly objective...  Do
you have any simple benchmark scripts that I could use to compare say
RHEL3 to RHEL4?  I'd be willing to give it a shot on a test box if it
wasn't to time consuming to setup.
