Nobody saying that ReiserFS is or isn't ideal. The only point is that it has not withstood the test of time, as far as reliability goes. It's probably very efficient here, but it's likely to still have more bugs that need to be discovered, and squashed. Ext3 has been through the ringer over many years, and it's fairly well tested.
