Dear listers,
I´m trying to get email virtual users going with postfix and the courier
IMAP/POP3 clients..
Authentication works fine if I have LDAP_CLEARPW turned on. But when
only LDAP_CRYPTPW is turned on, refering to the userPassword attribute,
the clients cannot authenticate (wrong password).
I'm a bit nervous about leaving the clear text password in the ldap
database. Maybe the problem is that the passwords are hashed in a
diferent format then IMAP or POP3 uses...
Anybody care to comment about the benefits of having clear text
passwords in the database?
