Look in the "modules.esmtp" file in your courier 'etc' directory.

'MAXDELS' is the maximum number of simultaneous deliveries (outgoing
connections) and 'MAXHOST' is the maximum number of outgoing connections
to a single mailserver.

Check out the "modules.html" file in the courier documentation for more
information on how the modules files work and what the variables mean.
