Hello. This is my first post to this group :)
I'm not able to copy IMAP folders/trees from my courier-imap server to
another server. The other server is (gasp) Exchange 2003.
I've tried:
imapcopy
imapsync
Exch. migration wizard
All fail with errors akin to "failed to connect", tho each are running
fine serving users on a variety of clients (all using SSL).
I have not tried mailsync, as it looks like it doesn't do imap-to-imap.
If it does then the proper syntax isn't obvious, and unfortunately the
courier-imap system I've inherited has been hardened to such a degree
that *everything* not needed to be only an imap server has been removed,
so running mailsync there probably won't work.
In each case, the SSL/993 connection seems to negotiate okay (viewing
network traffic via tcpdump), but then resets and dies. Running "openssl
s_client -connect mail.mycompany.com:993" seems to give me a proper
connection, and I can quit with the command "a001 logout".
The two systems have a firewall between them, but are both functioning
as IMAP servers with clients on a third network, and are exchanging SMTP
between them, etc. I cannot find any traffic being dropped by the
firewall (by observing filter logs, etc.) so I'm convinced that this
problem is due to some specific courie-imap configuration option(s).
I've also opened the firewall between them to allow any traffic.
Can anyone suggest what angle of attack to take next?
PS, If anyone knows of a manual way to move several Maildir trees that
are up to 2 Gig in size, then this would suffice.
Thanks in advance.
Jaz
