That's true, and will be my next attempt. Reasons I didn't try this in the
first place include: the version I downloaded were from the official mysql
ab site & I wanted the latest version (I am used to redhat always being
several major releases behind - I think redhat 9 is still supplying mysql
version 3.something, and I need at least 4.0.11)
