Then what you should have done was simply remove or fix the "buildreq" for netpbm. Figure out what provides "giftopnm", for instance, on your platform. It errors out on the fact that '-O2 > -pipe' is different than '-O2 -pipe'. It doesn't error out on any platform that I've tested... What release of autoconf/automake are you using? If it's a bug, it's probably a bug in one of those packages. EJ> I'llsee if I can get that info. I've seen many references to this problem on Internet but nowhere that the developers of autoconf/automake jumped in to present a solution. Autoconf -v gives version 2.59 by McKenzie Automake --version gives version 1.9.4 (Tom Tromey RedHat) Is that too old? Both are installed by default on Mandriva 2006.0. > 4 Tell configure to look for the mime.types file in /etc/cups: > --enable-mime=/etc/cups/mime.types ... > Re 4: On my system (Mandriva 2006.0) the only mime.types file I could > find was in /etc/cups. It's provided by "mailcap" on Red Hat systems, at least. I'm not sure if the format of the file provided by cups is supported by Courier. EJ> I will install mailcap. RH and Mandriva are rather close to each other. Again thanks Egbert Jan ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
