An update to my previously posted question: Called Micro$0ft support, and found a solution: -go into Control Panel --> Mail -create new Profile -launch into that profile -import old outlook.pst data into new outlook1.pst data file
somehow the profile got corrupted in Outlook, or else outlook was mixed up when "delivering" IMAP mail, like it was delivering it once for the account, once for the profile/PST. Anyway, since I've done this 2 weeks ago I have yet to get a double msg
