I am using latest version of courier on centos 4, configured with hosteddomains, virtual users as aliases, esmtpaccess, me and locals. This setup worked fine, but has suddenly stopped being able to find rcpt from users from inside the domain. Mail can be sent successfully externally, but if a user tries to send to another user inside the domain, it bounces with the error: user unknown [EMAIL PROTECTED] courier]# telnet mail.vermeeraustralia.com.au 25 Trying 192.168.1.252... Connected to mail.mydomain.com.au (192.168.1.252). Escape character is '^]'. 220 ver-arc-ms1.localdomain ESMTP helo blah 250 ver-arc-ms1.localdomain Ok. mail to:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 250 Ok. rcpt from:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 550 User unknown. These users have aliases in the aliases/system file which has been converted to aliases.dat. They exist in both files, and as their alias on the system. what have I missed?
