Ok, maybe your problem is not compiling courier, your problem is that your Courier Authentication Library binaries are in 32 instead of 64 bits.

As far as I know, Sun Studio C compiler generates more optimized or performing
binaries than GCC.
And I used GCC and encounted same problem.

All object files in .libs except authdaemondprogS.o are ELF64.
Maybe I am not missing some environment varieables.
