Sam already pointed out (although somewhat tersely) that this is your
problem. You need to provide the actual plaintext password, not the
encrypted password that is stored in the DB. Verify you can do auth.
binds with a tool like ldapsearch first also, then use authtest to verify
all the data pulled from ldap is correct.
