Harry,
as I said in my previous mail, such messages comes into my queue over
smtp. Therefore, "client" is not completely broken – it manages to
convince courier-mta to accept that message over smtp. And courier-mta
*IS* broken, because it can not correctly transmit a message it has
accepted.
