I thought I'd poke around and see what it takes to get the courier and courier-authlib specs updated so they build properly on modern systems, pass rpmlint, etc. (I'm hoping to some day get them to a point where only a small amount of work would be required to get them into the fedora extras repository). So I have a couple of questions.
First off, why use BuildPreReq instead of the currently-preferred
BuildRequires?
Secondly, because of a package split, libltdl.a is now stored in the
libtool-ltdl-devel package. I can add some fancy tests for
fedora/rhel/centos versions, and add libtool-ltdl-devel as a BR, or
merely add a requirement for "%{_libdir}/libltdl.a". Personally, I'm
inclined to use the latter, since it's simpler and maintains better
compatibility. It also seems to be handled just fine by package
downloaders (well, the latest yum, anyway) for grabbing libtool-ltdl-devel.
