Well, "rm -rf Maildir/.Trash" could help. Then he should of course recreate
the Trash folder.

Even better would have been rm'ing the original folder containing the spam,
but obviously you can't do that now.

Set the spam folder to auto-delete messages older than 30 days. The options
are in courierwebadmin's IMAP configuration page, or in /etc/courier/imapd
(search for IMAP_EMPTYTRASH).
