Well, I (now) have a hosteddomains.dat file.

I had run the make* a couple of times with no change. I just tried deleting all the *.dat files and re-creating them, and now I'm getting 513 Relaying Denied (but no GDBM errors).

That's either locals, or hosteddomains, or esmtpacceptmailfor.

Make sure that this domain is in locals or hosteddomains. And in esmtpacceptmailfor (run makeacceptmailfor).
