Well, there's really no "updating the list" here. The templates are installed when the list gets created. The "update" command in the new couriermlm is meant to be used when upgrading from <0.55. Although it can be used to reset all templates to their stock defaults, I doubt that many would find this useful, since template files are usually highly customized.

Let's say you had an additional variable 'language' (en, fr, de, ja
etc.) and the value of the parameter determines the source directory of
the templates. Perhaps we could also have an additional CHARSET file in
the directory contain the character set being used for the templates.

As 'thank you' I will offer the Japanese translation <g>.

The ability to choose alternate templates during initial list creation is easy to do. Shouldn't be a problem; I'll get around to it, eventually.
