Ok, silly me, it was simply needed to call courierfilter start
But after that, I get a message saying this :
pythonfilter failed to create socket in /var/spool/courier/allfilters
I created the above directory, chowned it to courier:courier but to no
avail. Is that something serious or can I let it go ?
That's serious.
That directory should have been created during installation of courier.
Since it's not there, there are a couple of possibilities:
* you installed courier somewhere else, and the courier.config module
didn't find it. In this case, you'd want to locate courier's "spool"
directory and fix courier.config.
How do I locate courier's spool folder? Is it written in some file?
* your courier installation is incomplete or broken. In that case,
you're probably best off removing it and starting over.
I took the tarball from courier's website and did an default
configure/make/make install installation, and despite this, it works
just fine so I'd prefer if it could just be fixed.
I'm sorry I missed this reply. I moved on the 28th, and I'm still
catching up on some things.
No worries, this happens to everyone, real life has to take precedence <g>

Olivier
