1- some lists (such as pbl.spamhaus.org) are for blocking email from 
"dynamic" IPs, which should use their ISP. there is no point in asking 
"them" to get delisted. some lists are geographic. the only way to get 
"delisted from a listing saying you're in .fr" is to quit the country. ...


2- there is no point in checking that trusted users connect from an 
unlisted IP. If I travel to a foreign country and connect to my server 
with my login/pass using a silly ISP or the hotel connection, I have no 
business asking them to get unlisted. I want my mail through

3- never block your own users with methods designed for "inbound" mail. 
This includes DNSBLs, spamassassin rules, ... etc.
