I have serius troubles with POP3 service, I have 5000 users who read
their mails and the problem is that constantly the client is
disconnected from POP3 and get the following message:
Task 'pop3.xyz.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues,
contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
The server has RedHat Enterprise 5 OS and the HW is:
4 processor Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.00GHz
Memory 4 GB
Srotage 6 SCSI DISK 1 Tera
The packages installed are:
courier-authlib-mysql-0.59.3-10.rh5Server
courier-authlib-devel-0.59.3-10.rh5Server
courier-imap-4.1.3-1.5Server
courier-authlib-0.59.3-10.rh5Server
I already did the change in the MAXPERIP before was 20 now is 200
MAXPERIP=200, also I dit the change in MAXDAEMONS
before used 100 and now use 400, MAXDAEMONS=400
Also I did the changes in authdaemonrc, the variable daemons is now
40, daemons=40
In the log I can see the DISCONNECTED in the session of the user,
check bellow the message and log for one custumer:

Before that I intalled virtual users I had DOVECOT and this problem
not exist, If this is problem with outllok, I have serius problem,
because I have 5000 users and the 70% have outlook like MUA.
How can I solve the problema? What changes or configurations should I do?
