I have virtual domains set up on my mail server using locally-hosted
domains, supported by a MySQL database. I support Mailman mailing
lists, as well as customer's default address support using Courier's
[EMAIL PROTECTED] feature, where [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a real account.

The "alias" accounts are auto-generated by the same scripts that
generate regular [EMAIL PROTECTED] accounts, and have a Maildir
structure which ought never to be used. I note a couple of things,
however, which puzzle me greatly.

I noticed today that several of these alias accounts have accumulated
real email in Maildir/new, most (but not all) of it spam - some of it in
substantial amounts! How does this mail get there? If I address mail
to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" it gets accepted by Courier but apparently
goes into the cosmic bit bucket and doesn't show up in Maildir/new, or
anywhere else that I can find for that matter. No DSN gets returned,
either.

What would be the best way to make courier reject mail from the outside
world, or from any local account on the same box addressed to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] without impacting the normal function of the alias
account?
