Hello,

I'm trying to use .courier to forward mail to an
archival mailbox, but I can't make it work. The
forwarding fails with a "513 Relaying denied"
message in /var/log/maillog.

I tried two configurations. First, I tried using
three machines. Machine 1 receives mail and
forwards it to machine 2 and machine 3. Machine 1
hosts a front mailbox, machine 2 hosts the regular
mailbox accessed by the user, and machine 3 the
archival mailbox. The .courier file in machine 1
lists the email address of the regular mailbox and
the email address of the archival mail box (either
on separate lines or on the same line separated by
a comma, that does not seem to make a difference).
When a message is sent to the front mailbox,
Courier forwards it to the mailbox that appears
first in .courier (either the regular mailbox or
the archival mailbox), but fails to forward the
message to the second mailbox, with a 513 error.

Then I tried putting a Maildir entry plus the
address of the archival mailbox in .courier. In
this case the mail is successfully delivered to
the Maildir, but fails to be forwarded to the
archival mailbox with the same 513 error.

Is this a Courier bug or the expected behavior?
Is there any other way of doing what I'm trying to
do, namely archiving all mail on a different
machine?

Thanks in advance,

Francisco
