Yes, you can present the invoice that shows you paid for this server, and that it's yours. That's the best document that shows that you are entitled to configure and set up this server in whatever way you see fit, because you own it. If you deem it necessary to refuse to accept mail for some particular criteria, any criteria whatsoever, it is your right to do so. What someone else says about it is completely irrelevant.

I refuse tons of mail. If I didn't, I'd be buried in spam. If someone told me that I must accept such and such mail, because this or the other RFC says something or other, they'll get ignored. My server, my rules.
