Courier-MTA is quite stable and reliable (I've been running it for 3 years
now in production with no major issues other than the ones I caused
myself). I think Sam, the primary developer, doesn't consider it 1.0 yet
because he hasn't achieved everything in the TODO list from the tarball:
1. Destroy Exchange
Beyond that, it's good stable code. 0.xx versioning for OSS projects doesn't
really mean that it's unstable or unreliable just that it's not feature
complete in the developer's mind...
