Ok Sam, I see you are really not interested. I've been promoting Courier-MTA since 2000, I wrote lots of articles in printed magazines about it, blogged about it, gave talks about it, and now I have to ditch it for Postfix. I'm very sad I didn't even get a response from you. I know you think the header limits are correct, but if many of my users get their yahoo and google groups accounts disabled for soft-bouncing, then something is wrong. Yes, wrong with them. But we know we can't count on them. The same way you have the option to allow BADMIME and other non-rfc compliant smtp transactions, then there should be one for this situation. I'll replace my servers with Postfix, but I'll stay around courier-users to see if you ever work-around this problem and release a new version, so I can come back to the MTA I've been loving for the (almost) past decade. - -- Arturo "Buanzo" Busleiman Reliable inter-continental Mail Relay Service - Ask me!
