I knew I would have to write some sentences about why I want to do things like that. :-) Cool down, I'm not that evil. A few days ago, I switched hardware and IP-addresses of my main courier box. Due to a config problem, I forgot to add all needed domain names to esmtpacceptmailfor. Needless to say that the one I forgot was the highest-traffic domain I run. So Courier bounced a buch of messages back with "relaying denied" until I noticed that and could fix it. My idea is (and I think I have had this when I started to use courier) to switch all errors to soft-errors for the first hour of operation to be able to fix problems without loosing messages. > Therefore, please do not make extra problems to trade brothers and > forget about this always 4xx stuff. Thanks. No, I won't forget about it. For sure, it was me to do that stupid mistake and I could have prevented it be double-checking the config. But I'll have to make sure this won't happen again. So this Option (if I recall the existance of it correctly) will make it into my server-migration how-to if someone could help me where to find it. regards, Bernd -- People who ask, `Can I ask you a question?' don't really give you a choice, do they?
