But there hasn't been any courier release since April 23rd

Take a look at the release notes for the March 23rd release, in there
you'll see a change that affected me and improved life for me:
webmail: Autorenaming of the Sent folder can be turned off in preferences.

That was raised on the list by Lisa on March 10th, here's the _ENTIRE_ thread:

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_name=dd48d1b10803100140p7c195549mc160a3346cfc958d%40mail.gmail.com

Yup, one message, and then 13 days later, a relase which includes a fix.

I only recall that one because when the original mail hit the list, I
remember thinking, ah someone else is getting the same petty grief I
am about that feature which most find so useful.

Anyone who has been with the project for as long as Mark or Arturo
have been should know the drill.. the input wasn't rejected or
longfingered, therefore its premature to comment on it until the next
release comes out.

I don't know what system Sam uses for managing feature requests or bug
reports, but to me, its got the proejct this far and therefore ain't
bad at all. Perhaps some thought needs to be given to how to convey
the status of such requests and reports back to users. All the tools
needed are on sourceforge, its just a matter of whether or not that
fits in with how Sam currently does things.

Regards,

Owen.
