That's how. Read your own maildroprc.

Yup.  As stated, I know my maildroprc file does the trick.  I heard
there was another way.  Like getting info out of my database.

If you build courier-authlib, and compile maildrop with courier-authlib support, maildrop will then read the account's home directory via courier-authlib.
