I have authdaemond running with authmysql module and crypt passwords.
I notice that when a mail client logs in to take their mail the
cleartext password ends up being displayed in my logs:

authdaemond: Authenticated: clearpasswd=MYCLEARPASS, passwd=PN0cjTu8XZgzQ

Is there any way to prevent this?

Yes, undo what was previously done to authdaemonrc. This only shows up if DEBUG_LOGIN=2 is set in authdaemonrc, which is not the default setting.
