Hi,

I have my mailq filled with about 2500 messages, but I want to discard
them all. The cancelmsg command requires a msgid, there's no way to
wildcard.

That's what shell scripts are for.

Can I simply delete directories under /var/lib/courier/msgq
and /var/lib/courier/msgs?

If you stop Courier first, and you know what you're doing. This is easy to screw up, so be careful. But cancelmsg is the safest way to do so.
