How do you figure that asking for log extracts to track down a mailing  
problem is 'unprofessional'?

All you want is the log portion showing the outgoing email to confirm  
that a connection was made to your server or to expose any problems  
that occurred when they tried to connect to your server.

If you go and ask them for ALL their mail logs, then yeah, that would  
be unprofessional.
