Hello *, I am spamed on two of my servers <abuse> and <postmaster>.
Exactly, today afternoon I was runing into a Quota problem because the
two above E-Mails have usesd a whole partition of 10 GByte which I had
reserved for systemuse.
The two mailservers are outbound only (with spamassassin and clamav-ng)
and only authenticated users from my network can use it.
According to RFC2142 section 1. paragraph 1:
Various Internet documents have specified mailbox names to
be used when reaching the operators of the new service;
for example, [RFC822 6.3, C.6] requires the presence of a
<postmas...@domain> mailbox name on all hosts that have an
SMTP server.
Since this two Mailservers will NEVER receive messages from the Internet
must I use the two above E-Mails?
Realy, I can not handel over 8000 mails per day in this mailboxes and
this server was already listed, because there was someone sending a
"test message" containing spam to it which was rejected and gone into a
honny pot of one of those RBL's.
Also this two servers are targeted by bots or trojans using fake error
messages with "Return-Path: <>" and "From: <>".
Another thing is, that I have <[email protected]> but I become heavyly
spamed.
How do you handel such case?
I know a bunch of ISP's which you can not more reach because the <abuse>
box is overquota. In Strasboug is one which get per day over 200.000
spams on abuse and making this address non-usable. One of the ISPs has
activated RBL-Checks and rejected one or two days messages and where
very fast listed on <abuse.rfc-ignorant.org>, even the rejected messages
where from dynamic IP's send directly and listet in several RBLs.
Maybe I am militant but if I get one of this spamers I will kill him/her
It is not realy funny to have an Internet access of 2.5 Mbit, with ~8000
legitim messages but over 110000 spams
