Hi!

I've the problem that with roundcube 0.3 some mails do not show any body
content. I was able to find the problem by looking a the mail in the
maildir via ssh. It seams that there is empty line within the header. If I
remove the empty line everthing works. I reported this as a problem with
roundcube (http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1486175#comment:11) but they
are telling me that this is not a valid mime mail and that its a problem of
the imap server. In their exact words "It's not proper MIME mail, so
probably your server is unable to response with proper BODYSTRUCTURE." As
I'm using a courier mta and courer imap, think the are RFC compliant and
had never problems before I believe the mail is valid. But I just like to
ask the experts. Is following mail valid? Should courier-imap deliver it
differently?

Courier-IMAP is not involved with mail delivery.

Someone else showed the same kind of corrupted mail here, a few days ago, which had Barracuda firewall-inserted spamassassin headers in it. At that time, the most obvious answer was a bug in Barracuda's commercial product screwing up mail headers.

Given that the other sample mail was also from hotmail, and you are not using either Barracuda, nor spamassassin, the most likely answer right now is a bug in Hotmail spitting out broken email.

Hotmail is sending out corrupted mail, and the IMAP server is properly parsing it, as it was received. Garbage in, garbage out.
