G'day! Currently, I have a strange problem with one specific IMAP mailbox on my courier server.
In this mailbox, there is a huge number of mails in the Junk folder
(approx 26.000). I tried to move those via Thunderbird IMAP to my shared
folder for SPAM, so that spamassassin can learn it. THere was a timeout
during this operation.
Since then, I can access only the INBOX of that account. Deleting a mail
in thunderbird results in the notice "moving mail to folder
INBOX.Trash", but nothing happens, the mails stays in the INBOX folder.
Trying to subscribe/unsubscribe IMAP folders of that account results in
a timeout and an empty list in Thunderbird. Opening the Junk folder in
thunderbird shows the headers, but retrieving any single mail results in
a timeout and no result.
Trying to create a new account in thunderbird for that mail account
results in a timeout for the login. This is extremely strange, as the
original thunderbird account still shows new mails in the inbox folder.
Sending a mail via thunderbird works (well, it is SMTP, not IMAP), but
the mail cannot be copied to the "sent mail" folder - timeout.
All other mail accounts on the same server with the same thunderbird
work perfect.
Is there any type of diagnosis or cleanup to be done directly on the
server, not via IMAP?
