Yes, I get the clamav database updates from the volatile repository as well. ClamAV version 0.94 is not supported any more. However, the stable package python-clamav 0.4.1-1+b1 depends on libclamav5 (>= 0.94.dfsg). As the name suggests this version does not support ClamAV ver 0.95, the currently used version. Finally, I solved the problem by upgrading to python-clamav 0.4.1-1.1+b1 depending on libclamav6 (>= 0.95.3+dfsg); this is a "testing" package. So, it seems that if you're using ClamAV 0.95 you need to upgrade python-clamav to use the testing package. Finally, the ClamAV version you're actually using shows in the freshclam log: >freshclam daemon 0.95.3 (OS: linux-gnu, ARCH: i386, CPU: i486) >ClamAV update process started at Sat Apr 17 13:31:08 2010 >WARNING: Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED! >WARNING: Local version: 0.95.3 Recommended version: 0.96 Regards, Bernd -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkvJPLsACgkQpYU8M8PbPV7OswCdFNxlR4DUDPlRXXRQV7vU+71t sB0An1Uas4v2cayIs/VJS9A1TyybtZ9W =PgKo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
