I've used ARCHIVEDIR for some time and it does the job just fine, though
it's a good idea to compress and save the archives off the working system
periodically. If anybody's interested I've got some simple scripts for
recovering
e-mail from the archives - very useful when the boss has accidentally deleted
something important !
