I just migrated my mail server to a vm using rsync, and having a strange issue: I'm getting "WRITE: 2 NO Unable to open this mailbox."
At first it did it for all my folders, but as soon as I received some incoming mail in my inbox, I was able to open that folder. the other folders remain unaccessible. Permissions look good, I'm using a virtual mail setup, and I did a chown -R vmail:vmail just in case, but no go. I also checked the date, it's fine. enabling auth debug showed nothing (out of the ordinary). that WRITE: 2 message is what happened when I enabled imap debug. It seems like there's some sort of locking mechanism in place or something that rsync fubar'd even though I killed courier before I rsync'd everything over. I tried disabling locks in imapd.conf, but then I just got empty folders when I tried to access the broken folders. All other users are experiencing similar problems. google showed...nada :( Thanks! -- Aleks Clark ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway.
