Hello Sam,

Check that the files in the couriermlm directory have the right

couriermlm.

No permission problems since I have installed the Mailing-List under my
account, but i have found the file sublist/misc was corrupt and I had to
delete it, but lost the subscriber infos. I have used "mcedit" to get
the subscribed E-Mails out of the file.

Don't know what mcedit is, but if it accidentally modified the binary database, its hopelessly corrupted.

Does this mean, I have to backup this file several times a day, since it
seems to hold the subscriber list?

Why do you need to make backups several times a day?

If you want to backup the subscriber list, run "couriermlm export" and pipe it to gzip. There's your backup.

I make only partial backups from my ${HOME} because it is currently
arround 2,7 TByte and I have only very limited backup space.

Note: Some of the "misc" files are very huge...

That is not unusual -- the misc files holds addresses from domains with fewer than three (I think) subscribers per domain. That probably takes care of the majority of subscribers to a list. This is really the main subscriber database. Everything else is optimization oriented for domains with many customers in the same domain.
